Korea Open: Bektas recovers to beat Birrell and reach the semi-finals
Emina Bektas beat Kimberly Birrell 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 and will face the winner of the match between Yue Yuan and Marie Bouzkova in the next round

American Emina Bektas defeated Australian Kimberly Birrell 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 to move into the semi-finals of the Korea Open.
Bektas, ranked No 116, will play the winner of the match between Chinese Yue Yuan and No 4 seed Marie Bouzkova next.
The American edged out Brazilian Laura Pigossi (6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-5) and won against Su Jeong Jang (6-3, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Seoul tournament, Birrell, ranked No 102, beat American qualifier Sachia Vickery (6-4, 6-4) and wildcard Dayeon Back (6-0, 6-1.)
