Korea Open: Yuan beats Bouzkova to make the semi-finals

Chinese Yue Yuan beat No 4 seed Marie Bouzkova 7-5, 7-6 (7) to reach the semi-finals of the Korea Open at the Seoul Olympic Park Tennis Center.

Yuan, ranked No 128, will face American Emina Bektas next.

Ahead of her victory, the Chinese beat Dutch qualifier Arianne Hartono (6-1, 6-2) and Slovenian Kaja Juvan (6-4, 4-1 ret.).

Bouzkova, ranked No 29, defeated American Kayla Day (6-4, 6-4) and German Eva Lys (6-1 ret.) in the previous rounds of the Seoul tournament.
