Madrid Open: Osorio moves into third round, could play Sabalenka next

Colombian wildcard Camila Osorio reached the third round of the Madrid Open by winning against Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 32 seed, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 at the Caja Magica on Thursday afternoon.

Osorio, ranked No 115, will face the winner of the match between Romanian Sorana Cirstea and Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, next.

The 21-year-old Colombian defeated French qualifier Clara Burel (6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the Madrid tournament.
