Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 3 seed, won against Russian Anastasia Zakharova 6-1, 6-2 to move into the last 8 of the Megasaray Hotels Open 1 on Thursday.
Rus, ranked No 89, will play Romanian Anca Todoni, the No 6 seed, next.
In the previous round, the 34-year-old Dutchman beat wildcard Ayla Aksu (4-6, 6-0, 6-3).
Zakharova, ranked No 127, won against wildcard Ada Kumru (6-1, 6-4) in the 32.
