Russian Daria Kasatkina, the top seed, moved into the last eight of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open by defeating Swiss Jil Teichmann 1-6, 6-0, 6-2 on Thursday.
Kasatkina, ranked No 8, will play Chinese Qinwen Zheng next.
Teichmann, ranked No 28, won against Ukrainian qualifier Dayana Yastremska (6-3, 7-6 (5)) in the previous round.
