Wildcard Marketa Vondrousova advanced to the last eight of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open by winning against Kazakh Yulia Putintseva, the No 4 seed, 6-2, 6-3 at the International Tennis Centre, Zayed Sports City on Wednesday.
Vondrousova, ranked No 37, will play Swiss wildcard Belinda Bencic next.
In the previous round of the Abu Dhabi tournament, Marketa Vondrousova beat wildcard Emma Raducanu (6-3, 6-4).
