Linda Fruhvirtova advanced to the last 8 of the Ningbo Open by winning against Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 4 seed, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 on Wednesday night.
Fruhvirtova, ranked No 117, will play Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 8 seed, next.
In the previous round, Linda Fruhvirtova benefited from the abandonment of Spaniard Rebeka Masarova (1-6, 6-2, 1-0).
Blinkova, ranked No 40, beat Slovak qualifier Viktoria Hruncakova (6-3, 7-5) during the 32.
