Spaniard Rebeka Masarova won against Swede Mirjam Bjorklund 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the last eight of the Nordea Open at Båstad Tennisstadion in Bastad on Wednesday.
Masarova, ranked No 146, will face Slovak Anna-Karolina Schmiedlova, the second seed, next.
In the previous round of the Swedish Open, the 22-year-old Spaniard defeated American Grace Min (6-1, 0-6, 6-2).
Bjorklund, ranked No 125, won against Japanese Misaki Doi, the No 7 seed (6-4, 4-6, 6-2) during the first round of the Swedish Open.
