Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the No 9 seed, defeated Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet 7-6 (12), 6-4 to reach the last 8 of the Nordea Open at Båstad Tennisstadion in Bastad on Wednesday evening.
Tomova, ranked No 99, will play Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 8 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Swedish Open, the Bulgarian won against Latvian Darja Semenistaja (6-1, 6-4).
Paquet, ranked No 178, beat Uzbek Nigina Abduraimova (6-1, 6-3) in the previous round of the Swedish Open.
