Frenchwoman Diane Parry beat Australian Daria Saville 6-4, 6-1 to reach the last eight of the Nottingham Open at Nottingham Tennis Centre.
Parry, ranked No 64, will face Australian qualifier Kimberly Birrell next.
Ahead of her victory, the 21-year-old Frenchman defeated Spaniard Cristina Bucsa (6-3, 6-2).
Saville, ranked No 84, won against Frenchwoman Clara Burel, the No 4 seed (6-3, 6-3) in the previous round of the Nottingham tournament.
