Elsa Jacquemot won against lucky loser Manon Leonard 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the semi-finals of the Open BLS de Limoges on Friday afternoon.
Jacquemot, ranked No 146, will face Swiss Celine Naef next.
Elsa Jacquemot beat Russian Anastasia Tikhonova (6-4, 6-4) and Russian Anastasia Zakharova, the No 8 seed (6-1, 6-2) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Leonard, ranked No 228, won against Selena Janicijevic (6-4, 6-3) and German Tamara Korpatsch (7-6 (6), 6-1).
