Dutch qualifier Eva Vedder reached the last 16 of the Open delle Puglie by beating Spaniard Rebeka Masarova 6-7 (5), 6-1, 6-2 on Monday afternoon.
Vedder, ranked No 287, will face the winner of the match between Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl and Montenegrin Danka Kovinic, the second seed, next.
