Hungarian Dalma Galfi beat Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich, the No 7 seed, 7-5, 6-1 to reach the last eight of the Open Internacional Femení Solgironès.
Galfi, ranked No 159, will play the winner of the match between Swiss Susan Bandecchi and Frenchwoman Alize Cornet next.
Ahead of her victory, the Hungarian won against Spanish qualifier Kaitlin Quevedo (2-6, 6-4, 6-1).
Sasnovich, ranked No 113, won against Italian Giorgia Pedone (6-4, 6-3) in the previous round.
