Palermo Open: Parry comes through Teichmann test to make quarter-finals

Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 4 seed, beat Swiss qualifier Jil Teichmann 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the Palermo Open at A.S.D. Country Time Club.
Parry, ranked No 58, will play the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet and Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle next.
The 21-year-old Frenchman edged out Australian qualifier Olivia Gadecki (4-6, 6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the Palermo tournament.
In the previous round of the Palermo tournament, Teichmann, ranked No 211, won against Serb qualifier Mia Ristic (6-1, 6-1).
