Poland Open: Baindl advances to second round

Kateryna Baindl defeated Maryna Zanevska 6-3, 6-3 on Wednesday. She’ll face the winner of the match between Italian qualifier Sara Errani and Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus in the next round

Ukrainian lucky loser Kateryna Baindl won against Belgian Maryna Zanevska, the No 11 seed, 6-3, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Poland Open at Legia Tenis & Golf in Warsaw on Wednesday.

Baindl, ranked No 190, will face the winner of the match between Italian qualifier Sara Errani and Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus next.
