Poland Open: Noskova into the quarter-finals

No 8 seed Linda Noskova defeated Slovak Viktoria Hruncakova in straight sets (6-3, 6-3) on Thursday to move into the last eight of the Poland Open at the Legia Tennis Centre in Warsaw.
The 18-year-old Czech, ranked No 59, will now face the winner of the match between Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, and American Claire Liu.
Linda Noskova defeated Croat qualifier Jana Fett (4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-3) in the previous round of the Warsaw tournament.
In the previous round of the Warsaw tournament, Hruncakova, ranked No 122, won against Kristina Kucova (7-5, 6-3).
