Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, won the Poland Open title by defeating German Laura Siegemund 6-0, 6-1 at the Legia Tennis Centre in Warsaw on Sunday afternoon.
Swiatek, ranked No 1, beat Uzbek Nigina Abduraimova (6-4, 6-3), American Claire Liu (6-2, 6-2), No 8 seed Linda Noskova (6-1, 6-4) and Belgian Yanina Wickmayer (6-1, 7-6 (6)) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Warsaw tournament, Siegemund, ranked No 153, defeated Pole wildcard Maja Chwalinska (6-4, 6-1), Chinese Lin Zhu, the No 4 seed (6-4, 6-4), Italian Lucrezia Stefanini (7-6 (5), 5-7, 6-3) and Tatjana Maria (5-7, 6-3, 6-4).
