Pole Maja Chwalinska won against Latvian Darja Semenistaja, the No 3 seed, 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 to reach the last four of the Polish Open on Thursday.
Chwalinska, ranked No 167, will face the winner of the match between Georgian Mariam Bolkvadze and Australian Maya Joint, the No 5 seed, next.
In the previous rounds, the 22-year-old Pole beat Swiss Celine Naef, the No 7 seed (3-6, 7-5, 6-1) and Kazakh Zarina Diyas (6-4, 6-0).
Semenistaja, ranked No 141, benefited from the abandonment of Pole Katarzyna Kawa (7-6 (4)) and won against Pole qualifier Urszula Radwanska (6-4, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
