Pole Iga Swiatek, the top seed, beat Czech Karolina Pliskova 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 to move into the last four of the Porsche Grand Prix at the Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart on Friday evening.
Swiatek, ranked No 1, will play Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the No 3 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Stuttgart Open, the 21-year-old Pole won against Chinese Qinwen Zheng (6-1, 6-4).
Pliskova, ranked No 17, won against Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 8 seed (6-2, 6-3) and edged out Croat Donna Vekic (6-2, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5)) in the previous rounds of the Stuttgart Open.
