Qatar Open: Noskova fights back from the brink to reach last 16 against Sakkari

Linda Noskova reached the last 16 of the Qatar Open by edging out Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 7 seed, 3-6, 7-6 (2), 7-5 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha.

Sakkari served for the match at a set and 5-3 up, before Noskova launched an epic comeback to snatch victory from the draws of defeat and inflict another difficult defeat on the Greek.

Noskova, ranked No 28, will play the winner of the match between Russian Anastasia Potapova and Karolina Pliskova next.

Linda Noskova defeated American qualifier Bernarda Pera (6-3, 7-6 (8)) ahead of her victory.
