American Emma Navarro, the No 3 seed, reached the last 8 of the Queen’s by beating Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia 1-6, 7-6 (4), 6-3 at Queen’s Club in London on Wednesday.
Navarro, ranked No 10, will play the winner of the match between wildcard Sonay Kartal and American Amanda Anisimova, the No 8 seed, next.
Haddad Maia, ranked No 22, edged out Petra Kvitova (2-6, 6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the Queen’s tournament.
