Romanian Jaqueline Cristian moved into the quarter-finals of the Rabat Open by winning against Spaniard Aliona Bolsova 7-6 (1), 7-6 (1) at Union Sportive des Cheminots du Maroc on Wednesday.
Cristian, ranked No 74, will face the winner of the match between Latvian wildcard Anastasija Sevastova and Zeynep Sonmez next.
Ahead of her victory, the Romanian beat Ukrainian wildcard Yelyzaveta Kotliar (6-3, 6-1).
Bolsova, ranked No 340, defeated No 6 seed Katerina Siniakova (3-6, 6-1, 6-2) in the previous round of the Rabat tournament.
