Colombian Camila Osorio, the second seed, advanced to the last eight of the Rabat Open by defeating Russian Kamilla Rakhimova 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 at Union Sportive des Cheminots du Maroc on Wednesday evening.
Osorio, ranked No 55, will face American Maria Mateas next.
Ahead of her victory, the Colombian won against Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto (2-6, 6-3, 6-2).
Rakhimova, ranked No 75, won against Swiss Jil Teichmann (6-4, 6-1) in the previous round of the Rabat tournament.
