Poland’s Magda Linette defeated French wildcard Elsa Jacquemot 7-5, 6-1 to reach the second round of the WTA Rouen Open at the Kindarena on Monday.
Linette, ranked No 60 and a former Australian Open semi-finalist, will face the winner of the match between Serb qualifier Natalija Stevanovic and Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 8 seed, next.
