Hungarian qualifier Dalma Galfi reached the quarter-finals of the’s-Hertogenbosch Open by edging out Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the No 5 seed, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 at Autotron Rosmalen.
Galfi, ranked No 138, will face the winner of the match between American Jessica Pegula, the top seed, and Serb Aleksandra Krunic next.
The Hungarian won against Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus (6-0, 6-3) in the previous round of the Rosmalen tournament.
In the previous round of the Rosmalen tournament, Kudermetova, ranked No 34, beat Chinese Zhuoxuan Bai (7-5, 6-1).
