Saint-Malo Open: Wildcard Stephens reaches last 16

American wildcard Sloane Stephens moved into the last 16 of the Saint-Malo Open by winning against French qualifier Emeline Dartron 6-1, 6-1 at the Parc des sports de Marville on Tuesday.

Stephens, ranked No 48, will play the winner of the match between Katie Swan and lucky loser Freya Christie next.
