Russian Anna Blinkova moved into the last 16 of the Strasbourg Open by edging out Frenchwoman Amandine Hesse 4-6, 6-0, 6-4 at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg on Sunday.
Blinkova, ranked No 73, will play the winner of the match between Chinese Shuai Zhang, the No 3 seed, and German Anna-Lena Friedsam next.
