Strasbourg Open: Burel downs Pliskova to reach last 16
Clara Burel beat Karolina Pliskova 7-5, 0-6, 6-1 on Sunday evening and will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Diane Parry and Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, the No 7 seed, in the next round

Frenchwoman Clara Burel moved into the last 16 of the Strasbourg Open by winning against wildcard Karolina Pliskova 7-5, 0-6, 6-1 at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg on Sunday evening.
Burel, ranked No 45, will face the winner of the match between Frenchwoman Diane Parry and Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, the No 7 seed, next.
