Strasbourg Open: Collins into semi-finals as Kalinskaya retires injured

American Danielle Collins reached the last four of the Strasbourg Open after Russian Anna Kalinskaya withdrew before the match on Thursday evening at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg.
Collins, ranked No 46, will face Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the No 8 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the American won against Sofia Kenin (6-1, 1-6, 6-2) and wildcard Emma Raducanu (4-6, 6-1, 6-3).
Kalinskaya, ranked No 30, beat American qualifier Caroline Dolehide (6-2, 4-6, 6-3) and American Jessica Pegula, the top seed (4-6, 6-4, 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Strasbourg tournament.
