Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 9 seed, advanced to the last four of the Strasbourg Open by beating American Emma Navarro, the second seed, 3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2 at the Tennis Club de Strasbourg.
Haddad Maia, ranked No 23, will play Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 4 seed, next.
The Brazilian edged out Dane Clara Tauson (3-6, 6-4, 7-5) and won against American Ashlyn Krueger (7-6 (3), 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Strasbourg tournament.
In the previous round of the Strasbourg tournament, Navarro, ranked No 9, defeated Russian qualifier Anna Blinkova (6-4, 6-1).
