Thailand Open: Rodionova edges past Yuan to reach second round

Australian Arina Rodionova defeated Chinese Yue Yuan, the No 6 seed, 7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Thailand Open at the True Arena Hua Hin.

Rodionova, ranked No 101, will play the winner of the match between Chinese Zhuoxuan Bai and French qualifier Chloe Paquet next.
