Romanian Miriam Bulgaru won against Georgian qualifier Ekaterine Gorgodze 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the final of the Tiriac Foundation Trophy.
Bulgaru, ranked No 202, will play the winner of the match between Liechtensteiner Kathinka von Deichmann and Romanian wildcard Patricia Maria Tig next.
Ahead of her victory, the Romanian beat Italian lucky loser Nicole Fossa Huergo (6-1, 6-3), Serb Dejana Radanovic (6-4, 6-4) and Russian qualifier Alevtina Ibragimova (6-2, 6-2).
Gorgodze, ranked No 426, won against Swiss Simona Waltert (6-4, 3-6, 6-4), Spaniard Aliona Bolsova (4-6, 6-2, 6-4) and Belgian Marie Benoit (6-2, 6-1) in the previous rounds.
