The Japanese woman will face the winner of the match between No 9 seed Katie Boulter and Australian qualifier Priscilla Hon in the next round

Japanese lucky loser Kyoka Okamura defeated American qualifier Hailey Baptiste 7-6 (4), 6-3 to advance to the second round of the WTA Toray Pan Pacfici Open at the Ariake Coliseum on Tuesday.
Okamura, ranked No 271, will face the winner of the match between No 9 seed Katie Boulter and Australian qualifier Priscilla Hon next.
