Dane Clara Tauson, the No 8 seed, won against Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina 6-3, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Upper Austria Ladies at the TipsArena in Linz.
Tauson, ranked No 39, will face Romanian Sorana Cirstea next.
