Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 4 seed, moved into the last four of the Veneto Open by winning against Chinese Yue Yuan, the No 6 seed, 6-4, 7-6 (5) at the Tennis Club Gaiba on Friday.
Danilovic, ranked No 101, will play German Tatjana Maria, the top seed, next.
The 22-year-old Serb beat Italian wildcard Alessandra Teodosescu (6-2, 7-5) and Austrian Sinja Kraus (6-3, 7-6 (2)) in the previous rounds of the Gaiba tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Yuan, ranked No 109, edged out Na-Lae Han (2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4)) and defeated Su Jeong Jang (6-1, 6-0).
