Indian lucky loser Ankita Raina reached the quarter-finals of the Veneto Open promoted by Regione del Veneto by winning against Romanian Irina Bara 6-2, 2-6, 6-0 on Wednesday.
Raina, ranked No 269, will play Swiss qualifier Susan Bandecchi next.
The Indian beat Dominika Salkova (7-5, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Bara, ranked No 226, defeated lucky loser Anna Siskova (7-5, 1-6, 6-3).
