Wuhan Open: Alexandrova advances to last 16
Ekaterina Alexandrova beat Anna Kalinskaya on Wednesday and will play American qualifier Hailey Baptiste in the next round

Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova won against compatriot Anna Kalinskaya, No 10 seed, 6-4, 6-7 (2), 6-1 to move into the last 16 of the Wuhan Open at the Optics Valley International Tennis Center on Wednesday.
Alexandrova, ranked No 33, will play American qualifier Hailey Baptiste next.
Ekaterina Alexandrova edged out American Sofia Kenin (6-1, 4-6, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Wuhan tournament, Kalinskaya, ranked No 13, beat Hungarian qualifier Anna Bondar (6-1, 6-3).
