Spaniard Marina Bassols Ribera, the No 5 seed, won the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana tournament by defeating Zeynep Sonmez 6-0, 7-6 (2) on Sunday afternoon.
Bassols Ribera, ranked No 132, beat Serb Lola Radivojevic (1-6, 6-1, 7-6 (5)), Greek Sapfo Sakellaridi (6-4, 6-3), Croat Lucija Ciric Bagaric (6-2, 6-2) and Romanian Miriam Bulgaru (7-5, 7-5) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Sonmez, ranked No 177, beat qualifier Oleksandra Oliynykova (6-3, 6-4), Croat Antonia Ruzic (3-6, 6-3, 6-2), Pole Katarzyna Kawa (6-1, 6-4) and Slovenian Tamara Zidansek, the No 4 seed (6-2, 6-3).
