No 3 seed Dalma Galfi moved into the last eight of the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana by winning against lucky loser Reka Luca Jani 6-1, 7-6 (3) on Thursday.
Galfi, ranked No 141, will play the winner of the match between Slovenian Kaja Juvan, the No 6 seed, and Romanian Miriam Bulgaru next.
Ahead of her victory, Dalma Galfi defeated Slovenian wildcard Ela Milic (6-1, 4-6, 6-1).
Jani, ranked No 249, beat Slovenian wildcard Ziva Falkner (4-6, 6-2, 6-2) in the previous round.
