Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana: Teichmann defeats Parrizas Diaz to win the title

Swiss Jil Teichmann lifted the Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana trophy by defeating Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the second seed, 7-6 (8), 6-4.

Ahead of her victory, Teichmann, ranked No 182, beat lucky loser Susan Bandecchi (6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (4)), Russian Polina Kudermetova, the No 8 seed (6-3, 6-0), Belarusian wildcard Kristina Dmitruk (5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (1)) and Francesca Jones (2-6, 6-4, 6-1).

Parrizas Diaz, ranked No 94, defeated Slovak Viktoria Hruncakova (6-1, 6-4), qualifier Ipek Oz (6-0, 6-1), Italian Nuria Brancaccio (6-1, 7-5) and Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 3 seed (7-5, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
