Zhengzhou Open: Zheng beats Kalinina to book spot in last four

Chinese Qinwen Zheng moved into the last four of the Zhengzhou Open by beating Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina 6-3, 6-2 at Zhongyuan Tennis Training Base Management Center.
Zheng, ranked No 24, will play Italian Jasmine Paolini next.
Ahead of her victory, the 21-year-old Chinese beat Ukrainian qualifier Kateryna Volodko (6-4, 6-3) and Greek Maria Sakkari, the No 3 seed (7-6 (2), 6-3).
Kalinina, ranked No 28, defeated Australian qualifier Ellen Perez (6-1, 6-3) and Russian qualifier Vera Zvonareva (7-5, 6-1) in the previous rounds of the Zhengzhou tournament.
