Laslo Djere won against Jason Kubler 7-6 (4), 6-7 (9), 6-3 on Wednesday night and will play Frenchman Richard Gasquet in the next round
Serb Laslo Djere won against Australian qualifier Jason Kubler 7-6 (4), 6-7 (9), 6-3 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Winston-Salem Open at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Wednesday night.
Djere, ranked No 89, will face Frenchman Richard Gasquet next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Serb defeated Belgian David Goffin (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) and edged out Portuguese João Sousa, the No 16 seed (4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5)).
Kubler, ranked No 116, beat SoonWoo Kwon (7-5, 6-2) in the previous round of the Winston-Salem.
