Gauff brushes aside former finalist Keys, through to last 16

No 12 seed Coco Gauff won against No 20 seed Madison Keys 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the last 16 of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City on Friday.
Gauff, ranked No 12, will play Chinese Shuai Zhang next. The 18-year-old has now made the second week of all four Grand Slams.
Earlier in the tournament, Gauff defeated French qualifier Leolia Jeanjean (6-2, 6-3) and Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse (6-2, 7-6 (4)).
Keys, ranked No 20, won against Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska (7-6 (3), 6-3) and edged out Italian Camila Giorgi (6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (6)) in the previous rounds of Flushing Meadows.
