Florence Open: Qualifier Ymer ousts Karatsev to reach quarter-finals
Mikael Ymer won against Aslan Karatsev 6-1, 6-7 (6), 6-1 on Wednesday and will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena and Italian Matteo Berrettini, the second seed, in the next round

Swede qualifier Mikael Ymer reached the last eight of the Florence Open by winning against Russian Aslan Karatsev, the No 5 seed, 6-1, 6-7 (6), 6-1 at the Palazzo Wanny on Wednesday afternoon.
Ymer, ranked No 99, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena and Italian Matteo Berrettini, the second seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the Swede defeated Dutch qualifier Tim van Rijthoven (6-1, 6-2).
Karatsev, ranked No 39, benefited from the abandonment of Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor (6-3, 2-1) in the previous round.
