Open de Limoges: Burel advances to quarter-finals

Frenchwoman Clara Burel beat Russian Erika Andreeva 7-5, 6-4 to move into the quarter-finals of the Open de Limoges at the Palais des Sports de Beaublanc on Wednesday afternoon.
Burel, ranked No 126, will face the winner of the match between Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 6 seed, and Croat qualifier Jana Fett next.
The 21-year-old Frenchman won against Bosnian Nefisa Berberovic (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Limoges Open.
In the first round of the Limoges Open, Andreeva, ranked No 136, benefited from the forfeit of Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich, the second seed.
