Adelaide International 2: Kecmanovic moves into quarter-finals
Miomir Kecmanovic edged out Jason Kubler 5-7, 7-6 (1), 6-4 on Wednesday. He’ll face the winner of the match between Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, and Australian wildcard Thanasi Kokkinakis in the next round
Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 6 seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Adelaide International 2 by edging out Australian wildcard Jason Kubler 5-7, 7-6 (1), 6-4 at Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Wednesday.
Kecmanovic, ranked No 28, will face the winner of the match between Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, and Australian wildcard Thanasi Kokkinakis next.
Ahead of his victory, the Serb won against Kyle Edmund (6-4, 7-5).
Kubler, ranked No 86, defeated Argentinian qualifier Tomas Martin Etcheverry (7-6 (2), 7-5) in the previous round of the Adelaide 2 tournament.
