Lyon Open: Noskova makes last eight
Linda Noskova beat Mayar Sherif 6-3, 6-2 on Wednesday evening and will face Colombian Camila Osorio in the next round

Czech qualifier Linda Noskova won against Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the No 6 seed, 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the last eight of the Lyon Open at the Palais des Sports de Gerland Lyon on Wednesday evening.
Noskova, ranked No 56, will face Colombian Camila Osorio next.
Ahead of her victory, the 18-year-old Czech beat Spanish wildcard Garbine Muguruza (6-1, 6-4).
Sherif, ranked No 50, benefited from the abandonment of Croat qualifier Ana Konjuh (6-2, 3-2) in the previous round of the Lyon tournament.
