Monte-Carlo Masters: Tsitsipas makes last 16 after Bonzi injury

Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the second seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Monte-Carlo Masters when Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi retired on Tuesday at Monte-Carlo Country Club.
Tsitsipas, ranked No 3, led 4-1 when Bonzi, ranked No 48, pulled out with a wrist injury.
The Greek will face the winner of the match between Chilean Nicolas Jarry and Australian qualifier Alexei Popyrin next.
He is now on an 11-match winning streak in Monte-Carlo, having won the titles in 2021 and 2022.
The Frenchman beat Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles (6-1, 7-5) in the previous round of the Monte-Carlo tournament.
