Tennis legend Roger Federer dazzled his fans and fashion critics with his appearance on the Met Gala red carpet on Monday. The 20-time Grand Slam singles champion was one of the co-chairs of this year’s Met Gala and was joined by wife Mirka Federer on the red carpet in New York.
The evening’s dress code was “In honor of Karl” (Lagerfield), the German-born fashion designer who died in 2019 at the age of 85.
Federer posted several tweets in the lead-up to his appearance on the red carpet and also took some time to meet comedian Trevor Noah and visit the Cary Leeds Center during his time in New York so far.
Federer was not the only tennis star who made it to the Met Gala this year. Serena Williams, Andy Roddick and Matteo Berrettini were also in attendance.
