Sharapova and Serena Williams reunite at London fashion show

Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams have a lot in common – multiple Grand Slam titles, former world No 1 rank holders, the title of the highest earning female athlete in the world at some point in their careers, businesswomen and now being mothers to young children.

The two former rivals also share a passion for fashion. Hence, it came as no surprise that they were reunited on Monday at the Moncler Genius fashion show in London as Sharapova sent the online tennis world into a frenzy after posting a picture of the two together on social media, with the caption “reunited” and a high-five emoji.

This is the second time that the fashionistas have met at a high-profile fashion show after the Met Gala in 2021.

Despite being two of the fiercest competitors and hitters in the women’s game, Serena Williams dominated her rivalry with Sharapova. After the Russian won two of their first three meetings, including the 2004 Wimbledon final, Serena beat the Russian 19 times in a row to end their careers with a 20-2 record over Sharapova.
